Vit D Helps Depression – Seen in 5,000 Person Study

Low Vitamin D3 Contributes to Depression

This study on Depression and Anxiety used data from the Finnish Health 2000 Survey and included 5371 individuals age 30-79.  The study showed that people with good Vitamin D3 levels did not  have significant issues with depression.  The study also looked at anxiety disorder and found no significant corelation with Vitamin D3 and anxiety.

This study was published in the British Journal of Nutrition and the authors stated, “This study supports the hypothesis that higher serum levels of 25(OH)D (vitamin D3) protect against depression even after adjustment for large socio-demographic, lifestyle and metobolic factors“.  What that means in English is if you take the really chronically ill people with diabetes and heart disease that could also cause depression out of the picture in this large study group the rest o the people with low Vit D STILL had depression issues.

Get tested for you vitamin D3 levels or just take a regular Vit D3 supplement per your doctor’s recommendations.

I’m curious to find out what blog system you are working with?
I’m having some minor security problems with my latest
website and I’d like to find something more safeguarded. Do you have
    any suggestions?

I use WordPress. Lots of spam comments mostly not real security issues. Most of the spammers are trying to sell me SEO but there are a lot of gibberish comments like between two people posting back and forth to each other, not sure why I get those comments but I assume they are from robot posting software. I just delete them all.
